	The Vermont Solar & Small Wind Incentive Program: This state grant program provides $1.75 per installed watt of solar electric capacity or $1.75 per each 100 BTU/day produced by a solar hot water heating system. Homeowners can apply for multiple credits up to the $8,750 program cap. Federal Energy Tax Credits: You may qualify for one of two federal tax credits. The new non-business energy property credit or the business energy tax credit. Both of these credits offer up to 30% of installation cost for qualified photovoltaic or solar water heating property. The residential credit is capped at $2,000 and the business credit has no cap. Vermont Sales Tax: Good news, there's no sales tax on the purchase of renewable energy products!
